Check for Cellular Connection

Coverage Maps

Your device needs a cellular signal in order to connect to the internet.
First, use the coverage maps below to ensure you're located in a covered area. 


If you have a Travel Data Dual-Carrier Plan, use either the Blue and Magenta coverage maps for comparison. 
If you have a Travel Data TriCarrier Plan, use all coverage maps for comparision.

4G Smart Router:
Check for a green indicator light on the device that looks like a cellular signal: (A T shape, with 3 bars next to it T|||) If the indicator is solid, or flashing, then you have a cellular connection. Continue to Power cycle Your Device. If the indicator is not illuminated, try continuing to power cycle your device, and also check the Coverage Map to make sure you're in an area with cellular coverage. 


4G Smart MiFi: Check for a green indicator light on the device that says 3G/4G, If the indicator is solid, or flashing, then you have a cellular connection. Continue to Power cycle Your Device. If the indicator is not illuminated, try continuing to power cycle your device, and also check the Coverage Map to make sure you're in an area with cellular coverage.
