I’m David, and I’m writing to you today not just as the new owner of this company, but as a fellow traveler and a professional IT consultant.
When I recently purchased Travel Data WiFi, I did it because I saw a community of travelers who were being underserved. I’ve spent over 20 years in enterprise technology at TechSolve LLC, and I know that when you're on the road, your connection isn't a luxury—it’s your lifeline.
One of my first priorities was to retain the existing team. While some have moved on, several of the key people you already know and trust have stayed on board. We are blending their historical knowledge of this community with my own enterprise background to build something much stronger.
To be blunt: I’m here to provide an incredibly more reliable service than what has been provided in the past.
We are rebranding to TechSolve Travel to signal a complete shift in how we serve you. We are moving away from being a simple data plan to becoming your Managed Connectivity Partner.
What is a Managed Partner? Think of us as your personal IT department that travels with you. For years, I’ve helped large businesses stay online by managing their hardware, watching their connections, and fighting their battles with internet providers.
We are bringing that same "Enterprise-IT" simplicity to you. You get to stop being the "IT guy" for your rig; we handle the technical headaches so you can enjoy the road.
Starlink Managed Services: Most of you use Starlink. From now on, you can add us as an Authorized Contact on your account. We handle the support tickets, hardware failures, and vendor mediation. When your system doesn't work, just reach out to us and we'll handle it and let you know when it's fixed.
A "No-Excuses" Warranty: On our Total Care tier, we are introducing a Hardware Warranty. If the gear I sold you, or you bought from Travel Data prior, breaks while your Total Care subscription is active, I replace it. Period. I'll have it shipped to your campsite, or a nearby pickup location with a return shipping label so you can swap your gear fast!
Real Technical Support: We’ve integrated Zoho Assist live screen-sharing. If your VPN is acting up or your failover isn't switching properly, I can jump on a live session with you and fix it.
We're Booking Appointments: You can now schedule a live video chat for assistance with me personally, usually same day! I'm committed to helping you stay connected!
I want to be very clear: We are not changing anyone’s pricing at this time. We are honoring all currently active pricing agreements. You will see the billing name on your invoices change to TechSolve Travel soon, but the math stays the same.
For Paused Customers: You will see a new $19 Basic Care charge with a $14 discount applied automatically, keeping your monthly pause fee at the $5 you are used to. When you're ready to resume service, you'll be on our new Total Care plan to utilize unlimited data, a hardware warranty, and MORE!
For Unlimited Data Customers: Your plan name will change to Total Care. You will see a discount line item as well, to ensure your monthly total matches your current rate.
Upgrading Your Experience: If you wish to utilize our new premium services—such as Starlink Vendor Management or the Hardware Warranty—you can choose to upgrade to our standard TechSolve Travel tiers at any time by moving to our current non-discounted rates.
Q: Do I need to do anything to keep my current price? A: No. We are automatically applying discounts to your account to match the price you’ve always paid.
Q: Is the new dashboard safe? A: Yes. We moved to a more secure, modern portal to better protect your billing info and give you a faster way to book support. Your existing login works!
Q: How do I add you to my Starlink account? A: If you are on a Backup Care or Total Care plan, log into your dashboard and follow our 3-step guide to add us as an "Authorized Technical Contact."
Q: What if I have a question about my specific rig? A: I’m happy to talk! You can schedule a 15-minute Discovery Call with me personally to go over your setup. Discovery Calls are typically $19, and credited towards your first month, but I'm providing them at no charge for the next 30 days to active and former Travel Data customers, so we can get you up to speed!
